Elevate a 10-year old "quiet" brand, MedStar Health, into a regional force that serves the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. areas through 10 hospitals, 6,000 physicians and over 27,000 employees, so that it will have a strong local, regional and national reputation for excellence.
Solution
BrandSavvy conducted extensive discovery that resulted in elevating the name MedStar Health to a strong umbrella system name, as well as using MedStar to co-brand with the individual hospitals. A new positioning, based upon research, "Knowledge and Compassion Focused on You", summarized MedStar's distinction as a major academic medical center. Extensive naming and brand architecture guidelines were developed, and the logo and all marketing materials, signage and vehicles were redesigned. Also, BrandSavvy developed an efficient Web-based solution for managing all MedStar Health brand assets and marketing communications materials, including dozens of customizable design templates such as brochures, flyers, binder covers, certificates, posters, etc.
