Challenge

Kootenai Medical Center, a strong healthcare brand in northern Idaho, wanted to improve its branding so that the breadth and scope of services were clearly known in its multi-county service area.

Solution

BrandSavvy repositioned the organization under the umbrella brand, Kootenai Health, to communicate an integrated delivery system across a large footprint.

The brand positioning focused on "A Heart for Excellence”…playing off their passion and their location, Coeur D’Alene – Coeur is French for heart or core.

The brand architecture recommendations unified the brand and its many offerings by changing key service line names to convey the reality of their integrated approach and add value to the master brand, Kootenai Health.

The new look and feel, utilizing a rich number of blues, progressive graphics and a large support color pallet, was documented in a comprehensive design system and graphic standards. In addition, BrandSavvy designed and developed the new Kootenai Health website and intranet.
